Margaret migrated from Scheoenwerd,Switzerland along with her parents, 6 siblings and a cousin through Ellis Island in 1922 on the ship America. From there they took a boat to Galveston,Texas. Then by train they made their way to Karnes Co., Tx where her father's relatives where waiting for them. She married and along with her first two children moved to Ohio in 1933 to her in-law's farm. Until 1956 she lived on a farm near Summitville, Ohio. Then the remainder of her yrs in Salineville, Ohio. She had 8 children, 7 living to adulthood.
