Ira C. Joiner, 97, died Sunday morning (February 20, 2011) at his residence following an extended illness.
He was a native of Berrien County but had made his home in Ware County for most of his lie. He was the husband of the late Lucille Morgan Joiner and son of the late William D. Joiner and Mary Griner Joiner.
He was the owner and operator of Joiner Transfer in Waycross for many years.
Survivors include his son, Kenny Joiner (wife Judy) of Waycross; a grandson, Scott Joiner (wife Kim) of Waycross; a granddaughter, Alysha Lamkin of Waycross; two great grandchildren, Kaleigh Joiner and Chelsea Fullard, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday (February 23, 2011) at Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will in Kettle Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Music Funeral Home.
