Abbie Chittum, 95, of Richmond, formerly of Roanoke, died Saturday, March 11, 2000.

Mrs. Tyree was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church in Roanoke and the widow of the late John Frank Tyree, Sr.

She is survived by three daughters, Peggy Sears of Richmond, Georgia Gee of Newport News, and Juanita Reed of Fort Lauderdale, FL.; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great- great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son, John F.Tyree, Jr. and a daughter, Bettie Jane Tyree.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2000 in the Sherwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Randy Stevens officiating. The West Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, Glen Allen, is in charge of arrangements.
