Our dearest Anthony "Ampie" Chavez, age 18, of Myton, passed away after complications unrelated to his many health conditions on Feb. 14, 2011 at the Uintah Basin Medical Center. He attended Thompson High School, until his illness overpowered his body making it impossible for him to attend school.
Anthony was born Jan. 26, 1993, in Salt Lake City to Arthur Chavez and Suzette Lynn Sireech.
One of Anthony's hobbies was collecting old model cars from the 1950s, and listening to Oldies music. Anthony loved his family and friends, and most of all his grandmother who loved and care for him unconditionally to his very last day. He had a huge heart for everyone around him and was always there to lend a helping hand. He always greeted everyone with his big smile and a hug no matter what pain he was enduring. We will miss him very much; he will always be in our memories and in our hearts.
Anthony is survived by his father, Arthur (Agatha) Chavez, Page, Ariz.; grandparents, Velma Sireech, Myton; Kenneth Sireech, Fort Duchesne; siblings, Victoria McCook, Myton; Aaron Chavez, Page, Ariz.; great grandmother, Melba Accawanna, Myton; aunts and uncles, Francine Trujillo, Dolores Chavez, Tom Chavez, all of Salt Lake City; Valentina (Arnold Morris) Sireech, Nonie Sireech (Ryan Black), Judd Sireech, all of Myton; and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, Tom Chavez, Margaret Chavez, Linwood Valentino Sireech, great grandfather Hewitt Colorow.
Funeral services held Feb. 19 at the Myton Presbyterian Church.
Cremation followed services with burial in the Myton Cemetery at a later date. Condolences may be shared at www.hullingermortuary.com
