Private First Class Alfred Joseph Critelli was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army, PFC Critelli served our country until December 11th, 1968 in Hua Nghia, South Vietnam. He was 24 years old and was married. Alfred died from small arms fire. His body was recovered. Alfred was born on September 13th, 1944 in Nutley, New Jersey. PFC Critelli is on panel 36W, line 001 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for less than a year.
He served with Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, "Tropic Lightning", USARV.
He was awarded The Combat Infantryman's Badge(CIB), The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal and The Good Conduct Medal.
