Evelyn R. Kautzer, 68, a resident of the Calumet Homestead, in New Holstein since December of 1981, passed away there this morning, October 26. 1989. She was born January 27, 1921 in Collins, Manitowoc County, a daughter of the late Ernst and Eva Gittner Christel. On May 11, 1946 she married Edmund H. Kautzer at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on November 14, 1984.
She was currently a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein.
Survivors are three sons, Douglas, Pewaukee; Raphael (Butch) and Gregory, both of Kiel; one daughter, Ms. Margaret Kautzer, Sheboygan; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lila Ninmer, New Holstein and Mrs. Marge (Fred) Rathert, Brookfield, WI.
Besides her husband, she was preceded by two brothers and two sisters,
Funeral services will be Saturday, at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic-Church, New Holstein. The Rev. Mgrs. Peter Klauck, officiating. Burial will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Erbe-Evjen Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
