He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Mathews; Knox Presbyterian Church, Norfolk; Oriental Lodge No. 20, AF&AM, Mathews; Norfolk Yacht and Country Club; Tidewater Food Dealers Association and Cosmopolitan Club.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Sue Baker of Mathews, and a son, Dabney G. Baker IV of Norfolk.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ Episcopal Church by the Rev. Richard Buzby.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Mathews Rescue Squad.
