In March 1920 Willie Feenstra (9 years old, born in South Dakota), his father John Feenstra (48, Holland, immigrated in 1883 [has to be: 1884]), mother Effie (43, Holland, immigrated in 1892), siblings Nick (18, South Dakota), Henry (16, South Dakota), Rieckie (14, South Dakota), Johanna (10, South Dakota), John (6, South Dakota), Andrew (4, South Dakota) were living at their own farm in Joubert Township, near the Dutch agrarian settlement of New Holland, Douglas County, located in the southwestern part of South Dakota.

On October 8, 1935 William Feenstra married the two years younger Gertrude Gravenhof, who had Dutch parents too.

They farmed for one year north of his birth town New Holland, Douglas County, South Dakota. Then they moved to the city of Bigelow, located in the extreme southwestern part of Minnesota.

In April 1940 William Feenstra (29, laborer in the hatching industry) and his wife Gertrude (27, Iowa) were living in a rented house at Bigelow, Nobles County, located in the extreme southwestern part of Minnesota.

In 1942 William J Feenstra was still living with his wife in Bigelow, Nobles County, Minnesota, when he was administrated on a WW II Draft Registration Card. He had blue eyes and blond hair. He was then employed by farmer W[alter] J Rowlands [at Bigelow].

Later he worked at Cashway Lumber until his death.

In March 1972 William Feenstra died at the age of 60 years in Nobles County, Minnesota. His widow Gertrude died in July 1983 at the age of almost 70 years, probably at her last known residence place, Worthington, the seat of Nobles County, Minnesota.
