ARE PENDING

Services are pending for Mrs. A.C. (Lula Arnold) Gwinn, who died in her home at 1108 North Guadalupe Sunday at the age of 85.

Mrs. Gwinn and her husband moved to Carlsbad seven years ago, upon Mr. Gwinn's retirement from an administrative position with the Las Cruces school system. The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary 10 months ago.

Her husband survives, as does their son, Dr. Clay Gwinn, Carlsbad physician.

Also surviving are a son Lt. Col. F.W. Gwinn of Prescott, Ariz.; two daughters, Mrs. Carl N. Chapman of Nevada, Mo. and Mrs. George Bamford of Del Rio, Tex.; a niece, Mrs. John Duff of Midland, Tex., whom they reared; two brothers, W.H. Arnold of Sprague, Mo. and Hal Arnold of Tulsa, Okla; two sisters, Mrs. George Hanson of Boise, Ida. and Miss Bessie Arnold of Nevada, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Gwinn was born June 29, 1874 in Boone County, Iowa. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

Carpenter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
