COLUMBIA — Funeral services for Marion P. Price, 78, of Columbia, were at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home here with the Rev. David Williams officiating.
Burial was in Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson for Mr. Price who died Tuesday morning at his residence after a brief illness.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Marion Price of Columbia; one son, Allen Price of Texas City, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Hatten and Mrs. Susie Mae Head, both of Columbia; four brothers, George Price of Winnsboro, Jessie Price of Tallulah, Edwin Price of Vicksburg, Miss. and Arthur Price of Zachary; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Gilcrease of Jonesboro; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dewey Laffoon, Henry Laffoon, Shannon Laffoon, Roger Laffoon, LaVelle Hatten and Marshall Hatten.
