Annie Florence Martin Bittle, 79, died at 7:35 p.m. August 13, 1980, in the Childress General Hospital after a long illness. She was born Oct. 24, 1900, in Coldwater, MS. She married Vernon L. Bittle in Deport, Texas, Sept. 7, 1919. They moved to Childress in 1924, from Clarksville. She was an active member of the Calvary Baptist Church where she taught an adult Sunday School class for many years. Survivors include her husband of the home, one son, Wayne of Long Beach, Calif; one brother, Howard Martin of Childress, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
