Death of Mrs. Dages
Mrs. Lizzie Dages, daughter of Mrs. H.H. Siverd, and wife of John Dages, of this city, died at St. Mary's hospital last Thursday night of inflammation of the kidneys. The trouble was of long standing and about five weeks ago she decided upon an operation, hoping to gain relief. A second operation was performed last week and although she rallied from it, complications set in which, in her weakened condition, she could not overcome.

Lizzie Siverd Dages was the eldest child of Captain and Mrs. Hugh H. Siverd, and was born thirty-seven years ago at Barry, Missouri. Her parents came to Rock township, Cowley county, when she was a little girl, and to Winfield in 1880, where she has since lived. She was married to John Dages November 4, 1891. They have one daughter, Ruth, thirteen years old. The deceased leaves her mother, and brothers and sisters, Frank and John, and Misses Mabel, Anna, Margaret and Mona. All are here except Miss Margaret who is in Philadelphia. Miss Anna arrived from that place Friday morning, a few hours after her death.

The funeral was held at the church of the Holy Name Sunday afternoon, the ladies of the G.A.R. attending in a body, and interment was made in the Catholic cemetery.
