LANCASTER -- Services for Winifred "Winnie" Coffey, 84, of Gilberts Creek Road will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Everett Priddy. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery. She died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born May 4, 1916, in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Whitaker. She was a retired homemaker and a member of Kirksville Baptist Church. She was the widow of George E. Coffey. Survivors include two sons, Eddie Coffey of Lancaster and Ronnie Coffey of Pell City, Ala.; a sister, Helen Davis of Nicholasville; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Donnie Statom, Mike Elam, Jerry Coffey, Paul East, Allen East and Tom East. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff East, Mike Coffey, Bobby Curtis, Lee Kurtz and A.D. East.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.
