Born May 4, 1916, in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Whitaker. She was a retired homemaker and a member of Kirksville Baptist Church. She was the widow of George E. Coffey. Survivors include two sons, Eddie Coffey of Lancaster and Ronnie Coffey of Pell City, Ala.; a sister, Helen Davis of Nicholasville; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Donnie Statom, Mike Elam, Jerry Coffey, Paul East, Allen East and Tom East. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff East, Mike Coffey, Bobby Curtis, Lee Kurtz and A.D. East.
