Susan Miriam "Mimi" (Simpson) Jones, 88, of the Saxonville section of Framingham, died Sept. 17, 2002, at her residence.
Born in Roxbury, she was the daughter of the late Henry Chelsea [sic] and Susanah (Gillis) Simpson.
She was a lifelong resident of Framingham and graduated from Framingham High School. She was employed as a cashier with Purity Supreme in Saxonville for more than 30 years until her retirement. She was an active and the oldest member of the First United Methodist Church of Saxonville. She was a member of the Christian Women's Club, taught Sunday school and was a member of the Bible study group of the church. She enjoyed singing, playing cards and Nintendo games. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother to her family.
She leaves her sons, Alan F. Jones and his wife, Carol P., of Hopkinton and Stephen D. Jones and his wife Evangela P., of Hudson... She was the mother of Miriam L. Borges, who died February 1994.
A funeral service will be held... at the First United Methodist Church,...Saxonville.
Burial will follow in Edwards Cemetery, Saxonville....
