Mr. O.H. "Jack" Matthews

Mr. O.H. "Jack" Matthews, age 82 of Marietta, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010. Mr. Matthews was a member of Milford Baptist Church for over 30 years and served as Deacon Emeritus.

Mr. Matthews is survived by his wife of 62 years Mrs. Laura Matthews, son LeBron Matthews and wife Pamela of Columbus, daughters Reita King and husband Richard of East Cobb, Lisa Lewis and husband Ray of Conyers, brother Franklin Matthews and sister Velma Davenport, grandchildren Anessia Foley, Andrea Johnson, Audrey Matthews, Andrew Matthews, Raegan King, Robyn King, Rebecca King and Ricky King, great-grandchildren Peyton Foley, Kerris Foley, Dante Johnson, Ethan Johnson and Eve Rusch, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home with Pastor Clarence Howard officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 from 6-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of his beloved wife Laura to the Alzheimers Association, 1925 Century Blvd. NE Ste. 10 Atlanta, GA 30345.
