Former Resident Dies In Livingston
Roy Burrell, 79, former Sweet Grass county rancher and a retired employee of the Northern Pacific, died at his home in Livingston Friday afternoon.
Last rites were conducted there by the Latter Day Saints church Tuesday afternoon and burial was in Mountain View Cemetery in Big Timber.
Mr. Burrell was born in Grantsville, Utah, where he spent his early life. He came to Montana in 1898 and for a number of years was employed by the late Tom McCall on a ranch which is now part of the Clayton ranch occupied by the Ray Goakeys. He also lived at Grey Cliff while employed on the section by the Northern Pacific.
He moved to Livingston in 1926 and retired from the N. P. in 1939. Mr. Burrell was married to Maggie Hughes on Dec. 27, 1904, in Livingston.
Survivors are his widow; one son, Lyle Burrelll of Billings; a daughter, Madge Pearson of Livingston; two grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
