Mrs. Maxine Emma Ice, age 84, of P.O. Box 3, Hepzibah, WV went to be with her lord and family at 8:47 P.M. Thursday, November 24, 2005 at her residence. She was born in Chiefton, Harrison County, WV, September 26,
1921 a daughter of the late Phillip Valent and Emma Windon Valent.
Surviving are, her husband of sixty-five years, James E. Ice, three daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Ann Lynch and Judy F. & Jimmy Lynch, all of Clarksburg, WV and Janie E. Ice, New Stanton, PA, three grandchildren, Ellisa Lugo, Homestead, FL, Lori Fontanez, Dola, WV and Robert A. Lynch, Bridgeport, WV, eight great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ice was also preceded in death by one son, James R. Ice, one brother, Phillip Valent, Jr., and three sisters, Tressie Hurst, Mabel Thompson, and Mary Lucille Bolle.
Mrs. Ice was a member of the Lucinda Rose Ladies Auxiliary of the Meuse-Argonne Post # 573 V.F.W. of Clarksburg, the A. A. R. P. and the Angel Club. She liked angels, ladybugs, the Smurfs, Geckos, Elvis Presley, Snoopy and
hummingbirds.
Friends may call at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main Street, Clarksburg from 2:00 til 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, where a funeral service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2005 at 1:00 A.M. with Pastor Chad Hutson
presiding. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
