She was born September 15, 1939 in Jonesboro, AR., to W.E. "Tom" and Beatrice "Bea" Kuykendall Willcockson.
She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Clara Van loved bird watching, cross stitching and most of all, spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Preston "Pete" Kirksey and her parents.
Survivors include her son, Curtis Kirksey of Walcott; two daughters and their husbands, Brenda and Michael Hayes of Sherwood, and Melissa and Marty Wynn of Walcott; six grand-children, Jeffery Hayes, Stephanie Hayes, Kristin Summers, Brittany Lawrence, Katie Harter and Zachary Wynn; three great grandchildren, Isaac Summers, Ezekiel Summers and Chyna Summers; a brother and his wife, Harry Wayne and Shelby Willcockson of Walcott; and a sister, Ernestine Kennemore of Clearwater, FL.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Walcott.
