Edgar Johnson was found dead on Thursday morning of apoplexy. Mr Johnson was born in Granville 68 years ago. In early life he went to sea and followed that occupation for many years. Latterly he lived in this place with his married daughter, Mrs Outhouse, his wife having predeceased him some years ago. He leaves besides the daughter with whom he lived, Mrs Frank Covert and 3 sons, James at sea, Charles in Bridgeport, Conn., Fred of the staff of the Halifax and Southwestern Railway, Bridgewater; another son Avery was drowned some years ago. Funeral took place on Friday at the Port Wade Baptist Church, Reverend Mr Heisler officiating, interment in the Cemetery at that place.
