Ray B. Meador, of Collins, formerly of Laurel, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, in Collins.
Graveside services will be held at 10:15 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida.
He was retired from the State Tax Commission as a special agent and field representative, a member of First United Methodist Church, American Legion Marvin E. Stainton Post, and VFW Alex Box Post. He graduated from Ellisville High School and Mississippi State, and served during World War II in the U. S. Army Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, C. L. Meador, Carroll Meador and Lonnie Meador.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Sanders Meador of Laurel; son, Billy Meador and wife, Sharon of Pensacola, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Shannon Day, Josh Meador and Ben Meador; and nine great -grandchildren.
