Mr. Slotvig was born in Jackson county Minnesota, October 3, 1897. He died at the Ft. Snelling veterans hospital May 19, 1952. He had spent most of his life in this vicinity, having moved with is parents to a farm in Springfield Township in 1902. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nels and Liva Johnson Slotvig. He is survived by three sisters and four brothers, Louis and Ole of Glenwood City, John of Alberta Canada, Theodore of Seattle, Mrs. Robert (Tillie) Moe of Glenwood City, Mrs. Ole (Anna) Sather of Seattle, and Mrs. Pete (Elizabeth) Wold of Downing. Pallbearers were Rockwell Moe, Noel Moe, Earnest Moe, John Slotvig, Orville Slotvig, and Noel Wold.
