Charles was born on March 18th, 1949 in Gassville, Baxter County, Arkansas at the Rollins Hospital(1) to the parents of Franklin Jay King (1922–1976) and Beulah Irene Pemberton (1926–1997).
He married Fay Partee in Yellville, Marion County, Arkansas in 1966. They had 2 children, Dana King, born in 1967 and Russel King, born in 1970. Charles and Fay divorced sometime between 1978 and 1979.
After that, Charles married Brenda Hicks about 1979. To this union 3 children were born. LeeJay King, born about 1980, and daughters Cindy and Jessica King.
