Ether Lee King, age 94, of Austinville, VA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 2, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Clint King; a son, Walter King; one grandson and one great-granddaughter. She was a member of Poplar Camp Church of God of Prophecy in Austinville. Ether walked by faith and was loved by her family. She extended a helping hand and was a friend to everyone, especially her family of five generations. She is survived by her five children; four daughters, Shirley and Daniel Thomason of Galax, VA, JoAnn and Thomas Campbell of Austinville, VA, Pat and Maurice Austin of Austinville, VA, Susan and Michael Ward of Max Meadows, VA; son, Charles and Jeanette King of Woodlawn, VA; brother, Walter Alley of Fancy Gap, VA; ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015 at Poplar Camp Church of God of Prophecy with the Reverend R.J. Reynolds and Reverend Kent Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Monta Vista Memory Gardens in Galax, VA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 5, 2015 at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Virginia, 600 West Ridge Road, Wytheville, VA 24382. Reese Funeral Home, Austinville, VA is serving the King family.
