GREENE BLANTON DIES

Greene F. Blanton, 60 , died at the Pacific Christian hospital shortly after midnight last night. He was a member of Masonic lodge and Elks, and was a resident of Oregon most of his life. Survivors include two brothers, J.S. of Elmira, and C.B., of Eugene, and one sister, Alice Blanton, of Eugene. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m., at the Veatch funeral home, conducted by Rev. E.V. Stivers, with interment in Mulkey cemetery.

Green Blanton's first name was misspelled by newspaper.

Blanton was the grandson of Hannah (Munkers) Blanton of Clay County, Missouri and Lane County pioneer Isaac Blanton. Alfred W. Blanton's parents were pioneers William Blanton & Elizabeth (Rush) Blanton of the Fairmount area of Eugene.

Green F. Blanton never married. He worked as a dry goods salesman and a farmer.
