The Miami Valley Genealogical Index (presumably from Warren County, Ohio) indicates that Bethania (Bethany) French (formerly Gustin) married James Mills in 1824, via marriage LIC# 2223. The same index indicates that just eleven (11) years later in 1835, James Mills married a second time, to Bethana (Bethany) Gustin ref: Marriage LIC# 4503. This "second" Bethany is the cousin to the first Bethany. Bethany Gustin French b. 1795-d. 1835 is the mother of John Betts Mills NOT the second Bethany. James is buried with his second wife.
