Eustas Josiah Chamberlain was a child of Thomas Chamberlain (1854-1918) and Elinore Angelina (Hoyt) Chamberlain (1856-1927). He was one of twelve known children who was born of their marriage in Kane County, Utah. He was born on Dec 6, 1886. As he grew to adulthood he chose to become a rancher (as is stated on his death certificate). He married Geneva Esplin on June 3rd, 1910 (in the Temple?) in Salt Lake City, Utah and the happy couple settled in Orderville, in Kane County. They were blessed with nine children. They were:
Lloyd Josiah, b.Aug 5,1911, d.Dec 13, 1978. Cannot find.
Florine, b.March 27, 1913, d.Jan 22, 1984. Cannot find.
Charles Esplin, b.Oct 23, 1914, d.Sept 7, 1994. Memorial#42683.
Geneva, b.Dec 14, 1916, d.May 31, 2005. Married McMahoon. Cannot find.
Lorna, b.March 16, 1919, d.Oct 30, 1994. Married Brahn. Cannot find.
Elinor, b.May 25, 1921, d.Sept 29, 1995. Married Tuft. Memorial #13019666.
and twins, Lucy & Lillian, b.July 25, 1924. Lucy died recently, on May 1st, 2012. Married Parr. Memorial #89502130.
Lillian d.Sept 30, 1991. Married Covington. Memorial #60158406.
Ann Carroll, who is still living as of 2014.
All of the children were born and raised in Orderville, although Lloyd, Florine and Geneva moved to California upon reaching adulthood & are buried there. The other children are buried in Utah. Lorna and Charles are buried at St.George Cemetery, and Elinor is buried at Monroe City Cemetery. Lillian married Mr. Covington and six children were borne of their union. She died in 1991 and is buried in Orderville Cemetery (along with both of her parents). Eustas lost his wife Geneva to Cardiac failure on March 7th, 1948. He and his children laid her to rest at the Orderville Cemetery in Kane County. Eustas had lived for 61 years when he died from Coronary Thrombosis {a blood clot in his heart}, on May 20th, 1948, just 2 months and 13 days after loosing his beloved wife. It was with heavy hearts that his family laid him to rest at the Orderville Cemetery in Kane County where he joined his wife, parents and many of his other family members. But they knew that graves lend comfort to the living left behind and that their parents are in Paradise where they would all be reunited one day.
