Cyrus C. Nupp of 622 Melville Ave., Baltimore, Maryland passed away Thursday August 19 1965 following a stroke.
Mr. Nupp was born June 28, 1898 at Purchase Line, PA the son of the late Orren O. and Mary Bostic Nupp. His early life was spent in Indiana County mostly in the Purchase Line and Cherry Tree areas. He was a former county school teacher. He moved to Baltimore in 1935 to help organize and set up the Social Security Agency and was still an employee there at the time of his death.
He is survived by his widow, Octa Waugaman Nupp, one son Byron Nupp, Washington, DC, 2 daughters Mrs. Robert (Beryl) Nash, Baltimore, Mrs. Carl (Patricia) Dryer, Penn Hall, Maryland, 1 brother, H Wayne Knupp, New Florence, 4 sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Langham, New Kensington PA, Mrs. Merle (Goldia) Bennett of Hedwood, Mrs. Arthur (Lenore) Henry , Purchase Line, Mrs Ralph (Mabel) Cribbs, Indiana, 6 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
Funeral services were held on Monday, August 23 at the Rusk Funeral Home, Harford Road and interment was in the Parkwood Cemetery, Northeast Baltimore.
