Frank James Chandler, 78, of Sligo RD 1 (Churchville), died Sunday morning in Kane Community Hospital following a short illness. He was born Sept. 17. 1893, in Karns City, Butler County, a son of the late William E. and Evelyn McAninch Chandler. He was married to the former Olive Ruth Eaker, who preceded him in death in 1934. Mr. Chandler was a retired millwright and a veteran of World War I. He had lived in the Churchville community for the past 35 years. He was a member of the F & AM Lodge 71 at Tulsa, Okla., and the Valley of Coudersport Consistory at Coudersport. Surviving are two sons, Robert D. Chandler of Marienville and Arthur B. Chandler of Lucerne Valley, Calif.; one sister Mrs. Thelma Miller of Philadelphia; three grandsons and several nieces and nephews. Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, and up until the time of services at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the James D. Miller Funeral Home in Rimersburg. Rev. Edward M. McKee, retired Presbyterian minister, will officiate. Interment will be in Churchville Cemetery in Clarion County. Masonic services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home by F & AM Lodge 522 of New Bethlehem. Oil City Derrick, Monday, April 24, 1972
