Susan Sanders Stinnett, the daughter of Ned Sanders, was born on January 17, 1848 (Note: January date is wrong should be November )in Kentucky. She was the wife of James Stinnett. At the time of the 1880 Census of Ellis, Ohio County, Kentucky the James Stinnett family consisted of: James, a farmer, age 32; his wife Susan M., a house keeper, age 29; and their children: Mollie G., age 14; daughter Cephronius D., age 10; Alonzo, age 6; Edward L., age 5; and Bessie, age 4. All were born in Kentucky with their parents born in Kentucky.

Susan Sanders and James Stinnett were also the parents of: Eugene (b. 25 Dec 1884 / d. 6 Jun 1914) and Richard (b. 1886 / d. 11 Mar 1946).

James Stinnett died on November 1, 1919. Susan Sanders Stinnett died in Grayson County, Kentucky at the age of 83 on January 8, 1931. She was buried in the McGrew Cemetery. Their sons Eugene and Richard are also buried there.
