Morgan Clark Thomas , 93 , died Wednesday afternoon at the Metter Nursing Home after a long illness.

A native of Utah County, Utah and a son to the later Morgan M. Thomas and Gisella Theda 'Ella' Clarke Thomas ; also by his first wife Mrs. Annabelle Pew Thomas.

Mr. Morgan Clarke Thomas was a Waycross City Commissioner for 4 years ( Jan. 1960- Dec. 1963) he also was Waycross City Mayor in 1963.
Mr. Thomas was a member of the Waycross Livestock Association, a former manager of the J.C. Penney Store in Waycross which he retired in 1952. He was an emeritus member of the Frank Clingman Folks Masonic Lodge # 192, the Waycross Royal Arch # 9, the Waycross Commandery # 36, a member of the Hassan Shrine Temple and the Shrine Club.

Left to carry on by his wife: Mrs. Goldie Griner Thomas of Metter, Ga.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel following burial into the Oakland Cemetery.
