FOLTS - Mildred Whitlock Folts of 355 Fairway Loop, passed away Sunday, September 29, 1963. She was born January 13, 1906, the daughter of Frank and Fannie Young McAlister. She married Merton Folts November 24, 1932 in Eugene. She was a member of Blue River Chapter No. 158 O.E.S. of which she as a Past Matron, and Nydia Temple of the Nile. She is survived by her husband, and mother, Fannie McAlister; several cousins. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 3, 1963 at 1:30 p.m. in the England Funeral Home, Pearl at 18th. Interment in the Gillespie Cemetery.

NOTE: Mildred Whitlock McAlister was the granddaughter of Eugene pioneers Charles "Walker" Young & Mary Brandon Whitlock "Polly" (Gillespie) Young.

She was the great-granddaughter of Rev. Jacob Gillespie, the first Presbyterian minister in Oregon and the founder of the Cumberland (now Central) Prebysterian Church in Eugene.

Mildred & Merton Folts had no children.
