Patsy Jane Cranfill Holland, age 78, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away Friday, February 11, 2011, at her residence.
Patsy Cranfill Holland was born October 7, 1932, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, to Orvil and Odis Kirkland Cranfill. She married James F. Holland in Florida on October 9, 1948.
Mrs. Holland was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. During her husband's military and civilian career she lived in many different states and England. She enjoyed working and volunteering at the local church. She was a member of the Gideon's Auxiliary for over 35 years. Throughout the years she enjoyed many different hobbies. Genealogy and stamp collection were her favorites, which she pursued with her husband.
Mrs. Holland is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, James F. Holland: of the home; a son: James F. Holland, Jr.: the Philippines; four daughters: Judy (John) Bridges: Memphis, Tennessee; Jannice (Dwight) Savage: Simi Valley, California; Pam Soliman: Mountain Home; and Lesa (Andrew) Palmer: Kent, Washington; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister: Norma Jean Doshier; and a grandson: Ahmed Soliman.
Visitation will be from Noon-9:00 P.M. Friday, February 18, 2011, at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at First Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. David Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Baxter Memorial Gardens with Harold Appleby, Wade Armes, Bud Cooper, Jack Leach, Chuck Schelinski and Dr. John Sullivant as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of First Baptist Church and members of Gideon's International and its Auxiliary.
Memorials may be made to Gideon's International or the First Baptist Church Mission Program.
