Myrnith Warren, 90, of Independence, MO died February 12, 2011 at St. Mary's Manor in Blue Springs, MO where she had lived for the last 51/2 years. A private graveside service will be held at Carroll Memory Gardens in Carrollton, MO. Myrnith was born in rural Carroll County on December 12, 1920. She was the daughter of Emma Lou (Cochenour) and L.J. Leakey. She was married to Ivan Warren in 1941. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her sister-in-law, two nieces and four nephews. Myrnith was a staffer for Congressman Richard Bolling. She was active in Jackson County Young Democrats, being the first woman president in 1956. She was a member of Blue Ridge Blvd United Methodist Church. She and her husband were volunteers at Wayside Waifs for many years. Family suggests memorials to Wayside Waifs, Blue Ridge Blvd UMC and St. Mary's Manor Foundation.
