=====
It appears that this man (J H A Rogers) married many times. unknown wife - around 1883 - son = Lilloatte Rogers -Dec 1883 JHA Rogers would have been age 16 - not unusual, of course, because this is a rural farming area and early marriages were common. this woman either died or ran off in 1884 as a M Sands married Joseph 4 Jan 1885 - no issue (that I can determine) then that woman disappears and
Zera Anderson must have married him in 1887 because next child: James Edward Rogers -b.1/3/1888 Zera dies 1/12/1888 - 9 days later. Esmerelda Smith married him next 6/4/1889.
but this first child Zera Mellissee is born 4/12/1889. this is over a month before the couple marries. why would this new wife name the girl after his last wife? and WHY were all these women disappearing? STRANGE! Ooddest guy I've ever researched.
