Clarence J. Shatto, in his home just as he wanted, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday morning, Jan. 9, 2002.
Services while be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Summers Funeral Homes, Boise Chapel.
Burial will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery.
The Rev. Darrell Beddoe of Whitney Baptist Church will officiate.

Clarence was born Sept. 19, 1916, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Clarence and Clara Shatto.
He married Dorothy Mae Ovard on Aug. 30, 1937. Their 61 years of marriage was filled with love, devotion and commitment, an example to their children. They did everything together from farming in the Hammett valley to setting up a janitorial business in Boise. Clarence never really retired, being an active volunteer for as long as his health allowed, such as remodeling work at Hays Shelter Home, Boise Rescue Mission, and various projects at the Idaho Correctional Institute. Clarence loved music; singing and playing his guitar for friends and family his entire life. All who met him loved him. The family would personally like to thank Dr. Paul Montgomery and the staff at MSTI and St Luke's Hospice for their care and compassion.
Clarence is survived by three brothers, Claude, Roy and Ray Shatto; seven children, including XXXXX Shatto of Oklahoma, XXXXXXXXX of Boise, XXXXXX Shatto of Texas, XXXXX Shatto of Oklahoma, XXXXXXXXXXX of Boise, XXXXXXXX of Eagle, and XXXXXXXX of Boise; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
He was preceded in death by wife, Dorothy; his parents, Clarence and Clara; his daughter, Laura; and four sisters. "Well done thy good and faithful servant."
