VIRGINIA BEACH - Barbara Owens, 62, passed away May 9, 2009. She was a native of Princess Anne County. She is survived by daughter, Teresa Owens (Lixander); sons, Charles E. Owens (Shawn) and Timothy Owens (Chris), all of Virginia Beach; 10 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held Thursday at noon in Mount Zion AME Church, 228 Princess Anne Road, where the Rev. Lonnie McClain is pastor, and the Rev. Jeffrey Johnson will preside. Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. in Beach Funeral Services Inc., 4456 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach.
