Funeral Services: 11 a.m. today at St. John Baptist Church in Gulfport.
Gulfport, Ms ~ Don Wayne Fredericks, 44, died Saturday, May 23, 1998, in Gulfport.
Mr. Fredericks was born Oct. 1, 1953, in Picayune. He was a member of St. John Baptist Church and was a Little League Baseball Team coach, a member of the Harrison County Democratic Executive Committee and the North Gulfport Civic Club. He was a graduate of Harrison Central High School, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Perkinston where he received an Associate's Degree and a graduate of Ole Miss where he received his Jurist Prudence. He practiced law in the Law Office of Hudson and Lawyer before entering private practice. He organized and operated Teen Court through the Harrison County Juvenile Justice System.
He was preceded in death by his father, Isiah Fredericks Sr.; and brother, Alvin Fredericks.
Survivors include his mother, State Representative Frances Fredericks; a sister, Yolanda Fredericks Thomas; and a brother, Isiah Fredericks Jr.
A service will be at 11 a.m. today at St. John Baptist Church in Gulfport where friends may call two hours before service time. Burial will be in Evergreen Gardens, 28th Street in Gulfport. J.T. Hall Funeral Home in Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
The family prefers memorials to the Isiah Fredericks Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 10186, Gulfport, MS 39505.
