Russell T. Alford, 85, of rural Huntington died Saturday [January 8] in Miller's Merry Manor.
The Benton County native was an auto mechanic and also owner of Alford's Saw Sharpening.
Surviving are his wife, Zelda; daughters, Barbara Biberstein of Bluffton, Sonja Holloway of Columbia City and Nancy Rice of Huntington; sons, James of Syracuse and Jack of Huntington; a brother, Willard of Murray, Ky.; and seven grandchildren.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday in Deal-Robbins and Van Gilder Huntington Chapel where calling is 6 to 8 p.m. today, and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.
