Funeral Monday
Funeral for Marjorie M. Sims, 77, of Flintwood Drive, will be conducted by Myers Funeral Service, Reed and Jewell Chapel on 25th Street, at 10:30 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Evelyn Brown officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to service time Monday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Mrs. Sims died at 6:07 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, 1992, at Four Seasons Health Care Center.
She worked 28 years in the service department at Cummins Engine Co., retiring in 1979.
Born Feb. 17, 1915 in Jeffersonville, she was the daughter of Benjamin Harrison and Mary Dean Davis. She married Ralph Edward Sims at Jeffersonville Sept. 9, 1934. He died Dec. 28, 1990.
Surviving are sons, Larry D. and Roger A. Sims of Columbus; a daughter, Barbara J. Fravel of Columbus; sisters, Mrs. Paul Voelz and Mary Jean Ballard of Columbus; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a twin sister, Marcella Davis.
