GILMER - Services for Odie B. Mayfield, 83, of Gilmer, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at Church of Power, with the Rev. Mark Huffhines and Bro. Larry Gilliam officiating. Interment will follow in Glade Creek Cemetery in Upshur County. Arrangements are by Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Mayfield died Sunday, February 13, 2011, in Longview.
Born September 20, 1927, in Longview, he retired from Texas Eastman as a chemical operator. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Mayfield; son, Marty Mayfield; and daughters, Amy Mayfield, Gail Sanders, Donna Whitaker, Carol Brian and Becky Pharr. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today, February 14, 2011, at the funeral home.
