Obituary:

PEARL YOUNG, 82, died Friday at Hemet Valley Medical Center. A native of Tennessee, Mrs. Young lived in Hemet 64 years. She was a homemaker who also worked as a nurse at Hemet Valley Medical Center for 10 years.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, John Shaw; a son, Richard of Bloomington; a daughter, Gloria Elkins of Nevada; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ann Burton of Salinas.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery. Miller-Jones Mortuary in Hemet is handling arrangements.
