Merrow, Mr. Ralph H., of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away Monday, December 21, 2009, at the Lutheran Home of Frankenmuth. Age 92 years. Ralph was born on February 13, 1917, in Burt, Mich., son of the late Earl and Emma (Matzke) Merrow. Ralph served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and was honorable discharged on December 10, 1945. He married Sarah (Sal) Vaughan on October 31, 1936, in Saginaw, where she predeceased him on November 25, 1995. Prior to his retirement, Ralph was employed at the Chevrolet Transmission Plant. He was a member of American Legion Post #439.
Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Jane Merrow Jr. Rockport, Ky.; four grandchildren, Tina Decker, Rockport, Ky.; Chris Little, Traverse City, MI.; Penny Scott, Fruitport, MI.; and Chad Bauer, Fenton, MI.; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; one son-in-law, Dave Bauer, Hemlock, MI. He was was predeceased by his daughter, Danny Bauer.
