Victor Garvoille, 76, Dies After Stroke
Victor Garvoille, 76, died Friday (January 4) from the effect of a stroke suffered New Year's day on the farm home one (?) mile north of town, where he had lived for fifty-one years. Born in France, Mr. Garvoille came to the United States when 8 years old. He retired from active farming ten years ago but continued to live on the farm. Survivors are the widow; three sons, Bernard of Dayton; Jerome of Dayton; and Alexander at home; three daughters, Mrs. R.F. Clark, Mrs. Genevieve Genin, and Mrs. Robert Fahey, all of Belleville. Two brothers, Olamp of Stoughton, and Albert of Belleville; three sisters, Mille Shepherd and Mrs. Dennis Kerwin, Belleville; and Mrs. Mary King of Beloit. Funeral services were held Monday in St. Mary's Church. The Reverend George Lochowitz officiated.
