Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Ellis Holden officiating. Burial will be in China Spring Cemetery.
Mr. Kirks was born Jan. 31, 1907, in Leon Junction where he attended schools. he was in the Marines during World War I. He worked for Texas Power & Light Co. for several years and for the civil service for 30 years, retiring in 1967.
He was married to Lucille Ledenham on Feb. 5, 1933 in Waco. He was a member of the Herring Lodge No. 1224 AF&AM of Waco and the Karem Shrine in Denver.
Surivors include his wife, two sons, Dean Kirks of Pueblo, Colorado and Kenneth Kirks of Aura, Colorado; two sister, Mrs. Frank (Claudeen) Golson of Crawford and Mrs. Earl (Jolyn) Walker of Shreveport, LA; brother, Percy Kirks of Crawford; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
