Carrie is buried with Alben under one stone in the Shrimplin Cemetery, just outside of Killbuck, Holmes county, Ohio. Visited by Mark Blosser, October 30, 2007. Bonnie Lisle Smail of Killbuck a 4th great granddaughter of Marriman Clement Lisle met with me on my 17 September, 2008 visit. She gave me one of Carrie's old school books that had been in her possession. She took a day off from work and took me thru various locations to see the old Shrimplin lands and buildings, Shrimplin's Run, and the spring where Abraham Shrimplin first settled. I can not thank her enough for her help and kindness. THANKS BONNIE.

Obituary - Coshocton Age unknown date - copy

Butler, - At their home in Roscoe, January 3, 1899, Mrs. Carrie Butler, wife of Alvin Butler, aged 38 years. She was in her usual health, until ten minuets before death, when she was seized with a violent attack of heart trouble and her life went out very suddenly. She leaves a husband and seven children. The family moved to Roscoe from Killbuck about a year ago. Remains will be interred today at Killbuck.

Personal Note: I have always seen her middle initial as E, however in daughter Virginia's obituary it state Carrie June Butler as mother. Mark Blosser - Jan 2009
