Tom H. Lundquist, 76, East Grand Forks, Minnesota, died Tuesday, October 5, 2004, at Woodside Village of Valley Memorial Homes.
Tom was born on June 16, 1928, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Wilton and Rosemond (Gerretson) Lundquist. He graduated from the Minneapolis Southwest High School in 1946 and the University of Minnesota in 1952. Tom served in the US Army in Germany and then served 34 years in the North Dakota Air National Guard at Fargo, North Dakota with The Happy Holligans.
Tom married Marilyn Benson in Minneapolis on November 17, 1951. He worked at the Fargo Forum for 14 years and then 9 1/2 years for Moorhead State University. He married Eva (Knott) Theroux on August 29, 1981, in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. Tom retired in June of 1990 after ten years with the East Grand Forks Exponent newspaper.
Tom is survived by his wife Eva; three daughters, Sally Lundquist; Susan (Roger) Perkerewicz of Aurora, Colorado; Tracy Nelson of Watertown, South Dakota; a son, Mark & special friend Kathi of West Fargo, North Dakota; five grandchildren; two step-daughters, Sandy (John) Thorson and Christine (Lee) Delisle, both of East Grand Forks, Minnesota; a step-son, Kevin (Christine) Theroux of Lone Tree, Colorado; six step-grandchildren; and a sister, Romie Lundquist of Boulder, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents.
