Roxie L. Fulton

Roxie L. Fulton, 61, of rural Birmingham, died today, Friday, June 1, 2001, at the VA Medical Center in Knoxville.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Glasgow Cemetery. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be at Behner Funeral Home. A luncheon will follow at the Lockridge Community Center.

Visitation will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Sunday at Behner Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Trojan Booster Club and Izaac Walton Hunter Safety program.

Mr. Fulton was born July 8, 1939, in Fairfield, the son of Harold and Dorothy Watson Fulton.

He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1957. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1857-1961. He was employed as an electrical draftsman at the Acco-Louden Company for 25 years.

He was a member of Fairfield Eagles and VFW. Activities he participated in included fishing, hunting, gardening, sports and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include five children, Kathy Love and husband Alan of Libertyville, Kay Atwood and husband Tom of Libertyville, Craig Fulton of Lockridge, Kristie Mitrisin and husband Steve of Columbia, Mo., and Karla Whitaker and husband Dennis of Centralia, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; five brothers, Eugene, Larry, Denny, Roger and Randy Fulton; two sisters, Rose Ann Ferrel and Joy Menze; and special friend, Onalee Hootman of Birmingham.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
