George was the son of William Robert Bingham ans Elizabeth McNeil.
There seems to be some question as to the death dates of both George and Mary. There is a Mary listed with him and two of the children on the 1870 census, but as there is no relationship shown on that census, am not sure if it is her or not. George appears on the 1880 Mortality Schedule as dying in January 1880, but apparently appears on the regular census later in the year, not sure why, but there has been some question as to the dates, so decided to put what explanation I had on the memorial.
