CRYSTAL SPRINGS, Feb. 16 -- Mrs. E. W. Mahaffey, 74-year-old resident of the Hopewell community died Friday morning at the family residence after an extended illness.
She was a native of Simpson county.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Sunday from the Palestine Baptist church with the Rev. C. R. Nichols of Newton and the Rev. Clyde Stegall, of Crystal Springs, officiating. Interment will be in the Palestine cemetery. The remains will lie at Baldwin Brothers funeral home in Crystal Springs until late Saturday and then moved to the residence until the funeral hour Sunday.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. L. B. Matthews, Georgetown, Mrs. P. D. Armstrong, Crystal Springs; two sons, T. P. Mahaffey, Beaumont, Tex., and W. R. Mahaffey of Houston. Tex., twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
