Calvin Richard Shambaugh, 57, of Berkeley Springs, died Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.

Born July 10, 1953 in Morgan County, he was the son of Ethel Virgie Decker Shambaugh, Berkeley Springs and the late Calvin Lane Shambaugh, who died in 1973.

He attended public schools in Morgan County.

He was a laborer and worked in maintenance at Coolfont Resort and Berkeley Springs State Park.

He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1483, Berkeley Springs, Alderton-Dawson American Legion Post #60, Berkeley Springs and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Berkeley Springs.

He is survived by two sons, Joshua Shambaugh, Colorado Springs, Colo and Bradley Shambaugh, Berkeley Springs; one daughter, Nicole Hobday, Canton, Ohio and two children from a separate union, Stephanie Caspillo, Elkridge, Md. and Calvin Richard Concord, Winchester, Va.; three sisters, R. Shirley Jackson, Lancaster, Pa., Charlotte Hoffman, Hancock and Cynthia Ann Mazurek, Longview, Texas; two brothers, Michael Lee Shambaugh, Oklahoma City, Okla. and Steven Wayne Shambaugh, Douglasville, Ga.; eight grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 20 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs with Rev. Rodney C. Truax officiating. Interment will follow in Greenway Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today, Wednesday, January 19, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 95 Union St., Berkeley Springs.
